The Shottas® seed bank was born because a small group of us — scattered across different countries, speaking different languages, but all chasing the same thing — got tired of mediocre genetics dressed up in flashy packaging. So we made our own and started something big.

No mediocre!

It’s our motto and our filter. A strain only enters our catalogue when it genuinely surprises us: a flavour we haven’t tasted before, an aroma that stops a conversation, or an effect we still remember a week later. If it doesn’t move us, it won’t move you either — and it won’t get a seed packet with our name on it.

We breed what we sell

Most seed shops resell. We don’t. Every seed in our shop comes from our own breeding work — whether it’s an original line like Candy Flip, designed from the ground up, or a careful reinterpretation of a modern classic like Amnesia XXL Auto or Critical Mass Auto.

We know how each genetic line was selected, how it sprouts, how it stretches, how it smells in week six, and how it tastes after a proper cure. When we describe a strain, we describe a plant we’ve actually grown.

Everything we sell is feminized. Photoperiod or autoflower, indica-leaning or sativa-forward, the goal is always the same: stable plants, real yields, and no surprises in the tent.

Made by growers, for growers

We’ve burned young plants under hot HPS bulbs and pushed LEDs too hard. We’ve watched autoflowers foxtail in a heatwave. We’ve jarred buds too early and learned, the hard way, what one extra week of curing can do for terpenes.

That experience shapes every page on this site. Our strain descriptions are written by people who have actually run the plants. Numbers — yields, flowering times, heights — come from real grows, not marketing decks.
